Ideas for a vibrant user community

This is the second time a SOC–CMM community has been set up. The first time, a forum was used. However, the forum suffered from spam posting, and not enough actual discussion on SOC topics.

Do you have any suggestions that will help to establish a vibrant SOC community, where information is shared and fruitful discussions are held?

Hi,
I honestly think the best way to get the SOC CMM community active and buzzing is definitely to start bringing it up on LinkedIn. Whether that’s through quick updates or posting relevant questions over there and somehow funneling people back to the forum

Hi Marco,

That’s a great idea.

The existence of the community has not been communicated to the whole mailing list, that will be done once the report goes public. We will also make sure to announce it on LinkedIn. And posting some questions there to get people to discuss in this more closed and specific environment may be a good way to attract more people and get more discussion going.

I believe there are a lot of people who will be interested, the main challenge is getting them here and getting them to discuss.

Awesome! I´m here for help.

I’ve posted to LinkedIn yesterday about the community. The SOC-CMM mailing list has also been informed. If you have not seen the post yet, and are willing to like or reshare:

I will be posting some topics on LinkedIn over the next few weeks, with a reference to the community. Hopefully, that will get more people engaged as well.
